Just curious if any of you have a wife or husband that rolls their eyes and says "You are thinking of Halloween already"? My wife thinks I'm crazy. LOL. Maybe I am, but at least I have other people to be crazy with.![]()

My wife is from the Philippines and at first she couldn't understand the holiday, or the way in which we Americans celebrate it. But now she is coming around and accepting it as my hobby. In seeing what I do and what goes into making horror props she is now VERY much into horror movies.
I also explained it to her in a reference she could understand in that Halloween is like riding a roller coaster... it's scarey and you scream but when it's over you realize you were safe, and laughing when it was over that you had fun doing it.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

My husband chuckles at it but he's indulgent about it. He will, for example, get me Halloween stuff for my birthday in August although he thinks that's WAY too soon. He doesn't mind it, I don't think.
Meanwhile, by the time he gets me my birthday presents, I've been planning my H-Ween theme for many months, LOL.

My wife tolerates my hobby. Though, I should really get my own ebay account to avoid questions like, "Another Bucky Skeleton?"
Undead and loving it!

I think the longer you stay in the Hobby, the more it becomes accepted. I've been doing this for close to 30 years. Somebody drops by on a Saturday morning and I'm in the shop sculpting Tombstones of building a coffin, no eyebrows are raised.
Don't sweat it. Remember, "What doesn't kill me makes me walk funny", or words to that effect...Wolfman
"Because a Child's mind is a Terrible Thing not to mess with."

My wife is not a fan of Halloween unless it involves cute kids and costumes. If she sees me doing anything Halloween related I usually get the "couldn't you find something better to do???" My usual response is "There is nothing better to do unless your headache is better?"
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

I think my wife is just as bad as me, to be honest. Every big items we buy, she's the one who want's it. She's from Brazil, where they costumes and party also every week, so, it's almost natural for her. She sometimes rolls her eyes at me, as she will the next day get something for halloween too (L). We are always almost in Halloween shopping mode, all year round.

My girlfriend loves Halloween almost as much as I do, so it's not an issue. Except when those pesky home improvement chores (painting the bedroom, remodeling the bathroom) get in the way.
One can never have too many skulls!

My girlfriend likes Halloween, so she is pretty understanding of my obsession. Sometimes she does tease me or roll her eyes when I talk about all my ideas for next Halloween. If it wasn't for her I'd probably spend allot more time planning and building stuff. I can have a pretty one track mind so it's good that she reminds me to balance my activities.
