Thought it would be interesting to see what kind of early halloween seasonal items people have been picking up recently.

My Animated Ravens Candy Bowl just arrived and I have a couple of sets of prop leeches for my witch/mad scientist display expected any day now. Those buggers really gross me out.

BTW both items were ordered online, although Dapper Cadaver (the leeches) does have a store front location as well.

Most of the stuff I've been picking up are the nuts and guts to making my scene. Things like hardware, 2x4s, plywood and things for the characters such as insulation for making PM clay, glue and paints. I haven't noticed any of the stores starting to put out Halloween stuff yet. It seems like the ones around here are going out of the way NOT to put stuff out!

I was at Micheal's today, and was talking to one of the clerks, who said their Halloween stuff wouldn't be out until June/July. I need to pick up a sheet of plywood for my Headless Horseman this year, as well as a solar spotlight...also always on the lookout for Halloween MP3 for my yearly collection.

haven't been around to do much halloween stuff latley. However I did pick up to black tea light lanterns for $2.50 at BigLots. Should look okay in a grave yard scene.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

I've mostly been trying to find bits and pieces for my costumes and possible first yard haunt since some vendors (mostly online but also here in town) have had left-over Halloween items on sale. Otherwise, what little money I have to spare has gone toward art supplies for my costume and spooky art projects.

I don't expect any new Halloween items in person until mid-Summer anyway. In fact, I can't think of a time when I've seen Halloween stuff put out earlier than that in non-haunt stores. It is April, after all.

I bought two skulls from Scourge last month and they're fantastic! They really look great and I'm very happy with them.

Other than that, I've been building a few signs for people, but I haven't done a lot for myself yet.

I bought 2 "bag-o-bones" for my cauldron creep a few months ago. Right now I'm concentrating on materials and parts for my "Next-Generation" Flying Crank Ghost. I want to get that finished and work the bugs out first, hopefully before July. I also need to get a sheet of plywood to make the "CEMETERY" sign for my graveyard gate, and order the finials for the fence.

Been really broke this year with the wedding coming up. I have scraped together the money to buy the parts for two 3 axis skulls and a custom routine. Now I need to save for the servos, plywood for my mausoleum and stuff to make a FCG.

I am a yard sale and craigslist junkie so I have managed to get my hands on a grip of stuff from cauldrons, skeletons, talking heads on platters, scene setters, groundbreakers, gargoyles and gemmy skulls. The best part is I either trade people stuff for them or pay very little so it has not effected the budget. Today I picked up an old mine lantern to mount a glowing skull in and a giant wooden parrot to repaint and mount to the pirate captain. I ended up trading a gardening book for those pieces.

I ordered 2 gallons of Froggy's fog juice(swamp juice, and freezin fog) and some scents to try out to mess with the ToT's. i wanna see how kids react to a mint smell out front, makes them feel safe. Then when they enter the zombie hallway of hell they are smacked in the face with rotting flesh, and then forest when they enter the black woods section. I bought some wood to make 12 out of 21 of the 48 panels for the haunt.

Semi related to halloween, but mostly just the season of October. I have ordered 6 Bhut jolokia plants, 2 Trinidadian scorpions, 2 devil tongues, and 2 red savinias. Should have about 4 gallons of some hot sauce done by October if anyone is interested in a bottle. I am about to order some more ghost hunting equipment, gonna do some ninja ghost hunting in some state parks this fall.
We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside of us
