Almost makes you want to roam the countryside looking for a smoking pit and Martian creatures.

Dang! Last week... Tuesday (the 6th I guess it falls in the dates they gave for showers) I think it was I was turning out of my driveway and saw a large green falling star, it was very cool and it lasted for a few seconds instead of the ones i normally catch in a blink.
I wish I lived in Wisconson I would go on a meteorite hunt! Thanks for sharing

WoW that was huge in the sky. I haven't seen the tv coverage of it yet so appreciated the link. Look out for little green men or moving modern-looking street lamps emitting weird sounds...I love War of the Worlds.

You know I bet you could do a great meteor scene in a front yard....with a giant orb and glowing coals. hmmm....

Some friends of ours were outside, and actully got to see this. I was jealous!

I expect an episode of Meteorite Men chasing down the strewn field.
