This is the time of year that me being a haunter truely loves.
But, who wouldn't love the chance at free building materials, misc. electrical & such? I've picked up the following to use in my haunted maze. over the years: exterior & interior lighting, full sheets of plywood & OSB, scrap wood, 25 wooden doors, & even broken mirrors.
It not only encourages people to recycle but, also helps decrease garbage in general. Plus, it costs very little to drive around with the pickup & I get exercise doing it too! If you can re-purpose something, save money, & resources why not?

i'm all for that. i've found a few items in the past. right down to a few blow molds. just because their lights go bad they throw them away. lights can be picked up after xmas for a song and a dance. i always grab extra for those times.

Curbside goodies are great! We are going yard sale hopping again Saturday so I eagerly await more finds. I am started to search more for Garden Statues as they make great graveyard peices.

Not really Halloween related, but I dragged home an HO train platform Sunday that was sitting up the street with a "FREE" sign on it. My brother collects trains so I gave it to him. Cool none the less.
