    Hi,
I used a few flood lights last year but was not to happy with the end result. (they came from target) I was wondering what you all use,if your happy with them and where do you get yours? Friends have been telling me to get them at Home Depot or Lowes but it seem's like they only have solar ones there. Any help would be awesome.

    Thanks in advance.

I bought mine at Lowes. They are the simple halogen ones that will plug into the $10 lawn sockets. They come in all colors.

Home Depot. I've used the glass bulb and the CFL (twisted fourecent) types. They are good for casting a large amount of color on a large area or using a a backlight to a tombstone or prop. Unfortunately, they are not good for lighting up small areas like the front of a tombstone. I used clamp lights to hold the bulbs and direct the light.

The front of my house was lit way too bright last year with all the floods I used. This year I'm scaling back to use LED-spots for the front of the tombstones, with floods as the backlights.

I recommend using E27 LED bulbs... If you check out eBay, type: e27 blue LED in the seach box for example. You can find them in different colors as well. I use them in clamp lamps and lawn socket stakes. They put off a great color!

Here is a site if you have a little extra money to spend for LED's. They cost more but save in the long run on the electric bill. This is where I got the ones I have and love them.
All Purpose LED Spots - Minions Web Cob Web Guns, LED Light Bulbs, Air Cannons, Halloween and Haunted House Supplies
Before I had them I had the blue flood lights from Home Depot.

I use adjustable spot light stakes found at Wal Mart for $4 and $4 ebay LED bulbs.
Pretty cheap to convert over to LED, other than saving on the electric bill they do not heat up like a regular bulb. $8 total for the spotlight holder and LED bulb is about what I was payimg for the just the spotlight.

I use the outdoor Green Flood light holder that you get at Home Depot of sLowes (they come with a spike and a screw base and I screw them to a tree). You can find them with the drop cords and other stuff like that for under $10.
