I saw that Home Depot got in some new very creepy fir tree's the other day. Some of the everygreens look like something out of a Tim Burton or Dr. Seuss movie. They are weeping (branches grow down) Junipers and Spruces. I'm planting a few on my backyard trail to add some ambience. Anybody else doing this ? See pics here.Weeping spruce | landscape-renaissance.comAnd here.....>>>>>>>The Plant List I'm putting them along the side of the house where the trail starts and where there is such a lack of cover for actors and props. What do ya think ?

Those are pretty cool looking. Those would add a little extra creepy factor to your haunt.

Yeah I think I got the wifey talked into one of these. Would look good with lights on it and fog running around it.

On a smaller scale you might like a corkscrew hazel tree as well.

you have a very nice haunt area. those are very pretty trees. are you going to regret them by the house though? take into account cats and raccoons and squirrels can climb them and get on your roof and do damage. so you want to make sure they're far enough away from the house due to critters and for easy growth. they would make nice coverage for your actors. just throwing some thoughts at you.

I like the trees alright,... but I can believe how much space you got to work with! lucky you.

Yeah its a nice big area, I just re-seeded back there again. It was a little too muddy in spots so hope some grass absorbs more run off. The Hazel nut is cool too. I do have a lot of wildlife that will eat tree's as well....including deer. And I will keep the new tree's away from the house. Most will be in the back yard. I planted a white pine already, should hide one actor.
