My lights are solar power LEDs purchased from Target last Nov. on clearance. I have 4 sets on the shack now and will add 2 more later on along with a couple od smaller strobe lights (one set will be battery power mini string of LEDS strobes from BL's), only wish I had got more. I will leave them on year around. Anybody else leave some Oct. outdoor decor year around ? These pics were taken from my garage door so I enjoy the view every evening in my garden trail.Oh the trees are fake just added them.................................................. ........................................................ ............................LIGHTED PICS BELOW........SORRY some of them are so blurry.........I just cannot seem to get a good clear night shot with my camera's . I'm night shot challenge............lol !

Great job! I am surprised how the snow and wind didn't damaged anything!

Thanks, yeah the snow, wind and ice was a big concern of mine. But I did use pressure treated scrap deck wood from Home Depot for only $ 4 and added extra supports to the roof line to hold the weight of the snow. It made me nervous a little after spending so many weeks building the thing in my garage before moving it out. The two benches are screw into the hut to add more support in case of real srong winds or if somebody falls inside. Its really pretty light and only weights about 50 lbs. thanks to it mostly being made of UV canopy material and some lumber.

Hi, Bozz. I'm kind of surprised by how bright those LED solar lights look. They give off a nice color.

I'm no photographic expert in the slightest but I think your nighttime pics would vastly improve if you would use a tripod with your camera. For nighttime or low light shots the camera lens stays open longer and it will pick up any movement of the camera and ruin your shot. It looks to me that's what I'm seeing in your pics. You can get a good inexpensive tripod at BIG LOTS btw, or ROSS sometimes. I've also seen them when I've gone into Goodwill looking for halloween items. Name brand stuff too. This past fall I picked up a full size name brand tripod from Goodwill to keep in our car all the time for something around $10 or maybe less.

Yeah I hear ya GOS, I need to get my boy's Nikon, he can set exposure time up to 30 seconds and longer to get some nice night shots. My cheap camera just won't focus well even with a rest. I'll take another bidge pic for ya soon now that I moved it back to the garden opposite of the shack.

    Looks great!
Wish I could leave my stuff outside all year. Sure would make it easier than trying to find a place to put it in my shed. LOL
How long do the solar power LEDs stay lit?

Thanks, yeah its easy to built and just leave it but one of the big Gar inside took some wind damage........scales falling off. I have plexiglass on the inside to protect them but might have to add some on the outside as well. The orange and purples shut off after 8 hrs. to save the batteries while the others stay on all night. I like the shut off ones (Phillips brand from Target have a 3 year warranty). Plus I can just switch them off if I want to of which I may do as we get into the summer months and extended daylight. Then turn them back on in Sept.

that looks really nice bozz. the night shots show how pretty it looks. i wonder if rope lights attached would give it more stability too? that white stuff all around has gotta go. lol.
ghost of spookie, i'll have to keep an eye open, i've never noticed tripods at goodwill. but i've never been looking. i see them at garage sales sometimes, but i never grab them. are they standard? i always worry i will get one and it won't fit my style of camera
    ? coulrophobia ?
don't laugh, this fear is contagious
