Thread: Decorating my room :)

I know I haven't been on here in so long, but I've been taking care of my health and other things that has been going on in my life. I recently moved back into my parents house cause I'm having Financial troubles.

I haven't set up my room completely yet but I'm planning on decorating my room a mix of Halloween and and other things that will bring out my room.

So far I've thought about painting my walls purple and then adding string of lights around my whole room. Possibly green, purple or orange lights. I might add a few posters around my room, I just recently saw that there coming out with a lot of Horror Posters in stores cause it seems as if there remaking every single Horror movie. I'm very excited about decorating my room and putting it back to life.

If I add lots of decorations in my room that it will spice up my spirit for Halloween. I'm not sure if it's just me or not but a lot I've recently saw how many people have lost there spirit about Halloween cause how times have changed.

Halloween is a very important time of year for me, cause I've also loved that time of year and it seems as if more festivals are always going on in the fall and I can't help but love apple cider!

My parents don't really celebrate this holiday fully cause they disagree with it, but they know I'm very found of the holiday. I'm looking for new ideas and other suggestions of decorating my room. I've come up with a few ideas but I'm looking for other peoples opinion and if anyone has anything they'd like to share. I'm very open minded and I hope to hear back from some of you.

I have a hobby room I can decorate to my hearts content. Because I own the house I have to think about the future and selling it, so I have to be realistic with my ideas. I really really wanted to make faux stones with wall mud and a template and make a mini dungeon. I realize this isnt for everyone, having one room look like stones, lol. So I am opting for room rolls in the castle wall look.

Im debating the ceiling but am thinking of cheap black fabrics I can drape from edges of the wall culminating into the center of the ceiling and maybe something dangling from it. I will paint my shelves to look like stones or just a solid color and I have one wall with shelves on tracks I thought might look cool with some big chains so they look like they are supported to the wall with them.

This is all ideas at the moment and like you I have money issues so I can only dream just now. I have materials for the walls and fake chains for shelves, but everything else will have to wait. links below to show what I wanted to do. The wood grain would be for paneling in the living room.

Yes money issues has always been a problem for me, I wish you luck with the room. Be sure to keep me updated! I've always been fascinated with witches and ghosts ever since I was younger. Guess everyone has there own thing, but I want to make my room more mystical. There's a place not far from my house, it sells a bunch of books, stones, incense, lots of things! This store always smells so good every time I walk inside and always dreamed of making my room similar. Just want a look where it's mystical and magical, the more I think about it I come up with more ideas.
