While Nickelback performed at the Olympic Games closing ceremonies, there was a large screen playing flames burning in the background. I would love to be able to project something like this behind a devil character I am creating.
I am not having much luck Googling or You-Tubing to find the video or something as spectacular. Has anyone seen something similar on the net?

I once seen a dvd out at Christmas that was for a fake fireplace. The carboard fireplace went around your tv. Looked real enough.

it would take a projector to show the flames. I know that some sites sell Halloween or Yule Log fire scenes that you could project behind your devil.
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.

Thanks everyone. I looked at the fireplace idea but I am looking for more of a raging inferno. I am looking to reproduce my vision of hell. I have access to a projector and huge screen to fill most of my single car garage. I have an incredibly strong blower which will produce a large amount of faux flames along both sides of the garage to channel the view directly at a lunging devil.

I think the flames were real pyrotechnics as they blasted upwards, i have seen the other type of effect on youtube somewhere, there was a haunter somewhere who did his house like it was on fire I think it got media attention as it looked very real I'll try and find the link.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
ihauntu, They did use 2 sets of 3 real flames to the sides of the stage but there was a screen directly behind them that played the fire illusion I am looking for.
Perhaps I should be looking into clips from movies that I can loop - perhaps Backdraft. When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

Check out this site. There have been lots of raves about his products, although I don't know if he has flame-only videos.
I also did a quick google search for "videos of flames" and came up with this. Mouse over the 'play' icon to get a quick sample of the video.
After that all you would need is the projector and screen.
Successfully scaring little kids since 1990.
