I saw groups of people show up here last night at The Ravens Grin Inn (OPEN every night) and the one group were professional haunters who were at Transworld (Rosemont, Ill. ) yesterday.
They brought several newbies with them and I had alot of fun introducing them to the unusual show I provide here.
The last time the returning couple were here three years ago they suffered some real physical pain from laughing too long and hard at my routines and their newbie friends were skirting that same fate last night.
The responses from a group like this strokes my ego and lies to me trying to convince me that I have perfected this entertainment(at least to My Liking!) and the sweet taste of their laughter does sustain me on these lonely winter, quiet nights..but I know the truth...and the truth is ok too.

No performance or performer has 100% success, 100% of the time, so I do love it when it happens like last night.

Sounds like a wonderful time! Sometimes we just need a smile to remind us that it's all worthwhile. You're right, humor is a risk but if it makes thirty laugh and offends one... Maybe the offended one takes life a little too seriously?? Seeing many smiles is worth the risk!! Keep up the great job!

It sounds like you had a wonderful night! You can't please everybody all of the time...so just concentrate on the ones you can!

Having seen your show in person, all I can do is sit back and smile, and imagine how much fun you must have had. It's nights like that, that make it all worthwhile.

Your place is awesome! I try to make it there every year. Last year my motorcycle group stopped while you was outside cleaning things up ( rearranging the yard ) but I couldn't talk any on the to go through. It would have been so cool!

One time some guys pulled up infront of my house on their Harleys and were sitting there looking at my house . I was talking to them when one said they had been looking at my house for years but had never been in it, "Cause,,,we ,,don't know?" Just then four little girls aged about 5 on up, all little blonds(Sisters) were running down the sidewalk waving money in their hands saying:"We want to go in the Haunted House, we want to go in the haunted house!"
Those bikers were looking pretty silly about then, so they almost reluctantly got off the bikes and said, "OK, I guess we will try your house."
How they go wrong with those brave little ones to protect them?
(Of course I didn't explain to them that those girls were regular patrons of mine!)
I discovered a long time ago that when people are out riding on a beautiful day they really don't want to miss that day being inside and I sure don't blame anyone for thinking or feeling that way.
The bikers who come here for a tour have this place as their destination, all planned out and often paid for ahead of time."My Insanity is well-respected, until they wiggle free and become a stringer for a tabloid"

You surely can't please everyone 100% of the time, but you have too many people enjoying to focus on those who won't enjoy it
