I tried checking snopes.com and fact or fiction and couldn't find anything else about it.

I don't think they could ever change the date of Halloween, if that's what you mean. 10-31 has too much attached to it. Tot nights on the other hand...
The link says retailers proposed to Congress the date be changed? Wow. I really hope Congress has better things to worry about.Hello, I want my book. Bonjour, je veux mon livre.

I don't think anything will become of it, but now I think I found something that slightly scares me.

You guys are a little behind the 8-ball on this one. It was Spirit campaign last year. Here is the thread all about it.

halloween should stay on the 31st. but tot night can just like Christmas and any other holiday be flexible. we do Christmas parades and pagents and easter egg hunts not always on the exact day, but the holiday date stays the same. halloween should be the same, flexible but with the date locked in.

I just found the article and posted it, I know it was a little late but I wanted people to see it in case they never heard about it. Knowledge is a wonderful thing and should always be expanded.

I would like them just to put the time change back to the way it used to be!
Being on a Saturday doesn't change it very much, around here ToTs start and stop the same time every year no matter what day it is. Been the same for ten years now, I know I am done by ten.

I agree with the time change, now it doesn't even start to get dark where i live until around 7:00 on Halloween, the the tots start at six.
