I ramble to much so I'll brake this down easy.
1. Donations being collected Canned Foods
2. I will make a few gift baskets. This will be in the style of a raffle.
3. If people are interested in winning a gift basket they can donate one can of food to get the raffle ticket. We will have 12 diffrent gift baskets. Every 20 minutes a new ticket will be annouced. (this was we can get word on the street and people won't have to come back later or all at one time.
Is this good or bad? (ps. we are right down the street from a super market and there are alot of neighboor hoods.

Sounds good. What will be the venue exactly Halloween party or just the raffle?
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

I have been thinking about incorporating a food drive with my yard haunt. I work for a Insurance Agency and one of our Insureds is a big wig at one of the local television stations. 2010 will be my fourth year in the area the 2nd year I posted about 40 flyer's around the area I handed out 135 gift bags and last year 2009 I handed out 240 and they were still coming. I am thinking since Halloween is on Sunday maybe Saturday I can do a test run of my haunt and have a film crew introduce the food drive. I am still in the planning stages but you have to start somewhere.

The venue will be our yard haunt on halloween night. There are tons of close by neighboor hoods so if we get the word out early people will here about it and hopfully bring a small canned iteam. We are going to call into the news and local papers to see if we can get some advertizment this way.
I figure if there's something in it for the givers there's a better chance of getting food donations for the people that really need it.halloween is a super cool holiday.

toy guy does a food drive everyyear and it turns out pretty good from what i understand. he also does a raffle. he usually makes some sort of a prop from items laying around and that is his raffle. the winner can't pick up the prop till the day after halloween. that way everyone has a chance to view it

It sounds like a great idea as long as you can get the word out beforehand and let people know where their donations will be sent to i.e. local food bank or some larger scale charity. Good luck, It really does sound like a nice idea!
Hello, I want my book. Bonjour, je veux mon livre.
