With all the concerns about kids getting too big for their britches and making the treats cooler, I thought about skipping candy this year and going with LED treats. I think it would be more memorable for kids that way.

I found someone on Ebay selling Flashing LED items BULK Lot 100 Assort Body Flashing LED Blinky CLOSE OUT - eBay (item 260453364850 end time Feb-20-10 19:39:13 PST) but I am wondering if there is a seller out there that might have a bit better of a deal for quantity. I was interested in picking up 300 this year as the number of ToTs I get seems to be growing now that the churches reduces or eliminated the fall festivals near me.

    Any thoughts?

We had gotten glow sticks/bracelets from our local Michaels craft store for about a $1 a tube. There were about 30 glow sticks per tube. We didn't hand them out to trick r treaters...but we did give one to everyone that came to our party and had them wear them as bracelets. It was just something fun to do...and everyone seemed to really think it was a cute idea.

That is a good idea. My first reaction is to think that that would be a bit pricey to do for me, but I wonder what the actual price comparison would be between that and what I end up spending on candy every year.

Look on wal-mart.com under the party section. I orderd 100 braclets for only 12:00. that's the best price around if you can't find them at michaels.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

I offered the seller $49.99 on the auction with free shipping and they accepted so it worked out to be about $0.50 each for a lot of 100. A little more expensive than glow sticks and candy, but the kids will be happy.

wow, if I was a kid I would surely remember your house. And then I prob. wouldn't come back. Sorry but, kids like the candy first and prizes second. I have been giving out some stuff along with the candy too. This year we are going to pick up some sugar free candy. That way they still get some candy and it's better for them. Especially all the little diabetic kids who are along with brothers and sisters who really can't enjoy the candy.

I dissagree the tot we had took the glow braclets over the candy, becasue they had lots of candy already in their bags its somthing different to them they reacted to the glow bracelets differently, we got ours at micheals for about $1.50 canadian try this test a kinder surprise egg or a ceramel filled one what will kids choose I bet they go for the prize inside first and the candy part second

I did both but I get few TOT... just the near neighbor kids. OF COURSE they wanted candy but had a ball with the glow-straws I handed out with them.
