Thread: Oh no! It can't be!

It's only January and I'm already having "the dream"! Yep, same as always - it's Halloween and I suddenly realize I haven't done anything new and haven't even put out any of the old stuff either and trick or treaters will be here any minute.

Guess it's time to get started!

Oh No! Those dreams suck but in away they also get us to get our butts moving.

HA HA HA, I have had a similar dream sooooo many times. But it's always in connection with my kids and possibly disappointing them (you can tell what's on my mind!).

Typically I suddenly realize it's Halloween afternoon or early evening, and I have to buy costumes (which is stupid b/c if worse came to worst, I have quite a few around the house from previous years). I get stuck in line at the store, stuck in traffic, etc. and somehow it ends up already being evening by the time I get to my kids. I look at the clock and it's 8:55, with curfew at 9:00, and I'm grabbing at my kids to RUN them to at least two houses, realizing we don't even have so much as a jack-o'-lantern lit at ours......

I have had dreams just like that.

I have a haunted house open every night of the year, yet I STill have dreams once & awhile about strange, goofy customers coming here and problems to be fixed in my house.
I work on it and in it almost everyday already!!!?

I have dreams of owning my own haunted house and having great success.

We just need to make the dreams reallity. There's always the hurdles to jump over.

I'm having halloween dreams too! But for me it's always really cool stuff i'm decorating with, like stuff that no ones ever seen before.

..is whe I have some really goofy ideas pop into my head ("Who IS that whispering in my ear?")
Many of these ideas become things I build.
Yesterday morning my idea: You know how in the old movies, whether they were Westerns, Spy movies, or whatever, someone would hide a gun inside of a Bible or another book by cutting out the pages in the shape of the gun? In my silliness the book was cut out but the handgun was so long and large the handle stuck out and the end of it's barrel!
I guess this would need an Encyclopedia volume or a big refrence (desk-bound) Bible to hide such a gun.
Pure comedy was the feeling with this "vision", not potential subversiveness or criminal activity.
Of course this came purely "out of the Blue", I had been having no such thoughts, saw no old movie...

When I get stuck on an idea I like to sleep on it. Often I wake up with a solution. The brain is an amazing thing!

My problem is when I "hit the hay" I try not to think about props... as I get too excited and I can't fall asleep.
