I have hit a wall with our insurance company. My wife mentioned to him about our haunted barn, just for information. Now he claims our barn cannot be covered, nor will he insur any contents. I may have to check on another company just for the haunt and the time, but that won't cover off season.
Does anyone have any suggestions or a reference company???

We use Farmers, and they had no issues with our haunt, but suggested some umbrella coverage over and above the home owners just in case some idiot decides to wander off and trip over some chords and sue.
There are situations where home owners does NOT cover you (especially if you are charging, which it appears you are), however, and that may be what you are running into. Without knowing the particulars of your local laws and personal situation, it's impossible for me to really make any informed guess as to why your barn would not be covered. My best suggestion is to call around and explain the particulars to the insurance companies.
Yes, you are likely going to need event insurance for the running time of the haunt. I don't know about the off-season.
