Hello fellow haunters. I was just curious if anyone was plannng a haunt in the East Tennessee area(Tri Cities). I have worked the past 3 seasons at Ripley's Haunted Adventure in Gatlinburg, but am afraid I may not get to thisyear based on work. I am looking for a haunter who is open to new ideas and who has the same passion for the haunt that I do. Also, if you perhaps have a place to do a haunt but do not have the knoledge or desire to want to be the one in charge, let me know. I will be more than happy to tae the reigns! Thanks!

i just moved to Nashville from Maine. Just a little too far for us to collaborate directly. ive noticed that there doesnt seem to be a lot of halloween support here in the Nashville area. Though i have found a ton of things that would make a haunt great!!!
Just wanted to chime in as a new tennesseean. LOL

I don't know much about the haunt scene in Nashville. My brother lives in Spring Hill down there. I would suggest checking out not oly this site but also hauntworld.com and seeing who all haunts in that area.

I live in the most eastern tip of Tennessee and we usually have haunted corn mazes and the like. I live about an hour from Johnson City and nearly 3 hours from Gatlinburg. I love Gatlinburg!!! I'd love to help with a haunt of some kind. I am normally a guide at the haunted things I take part in but I also love being a scareacter!! I just got married in Oct, so my time may be limited this year........who knows? Good luck mate.

I'm about 40 minutes away from Knoxville. This is the first year we've owned our own home, and could do Halloween right. This last Halloween we had about 1000 ToT's to "Wolve's Shadow Cemetary".
I used to be really active in the 501st. Stormtrooper Legion, But I've become more involved lately with my lifelong affection of Halloween instead.
What made it really hard this last year is that on Sept. 30, my dear loving wife's Mother passed away. She was only 56, and with absolutely NO warning. Which made it worse that I had all of my Grim Reapers and tombstones out to work on to get ready for the "big" day.
Having to put her dear Mother away in a real Cemetary wasn't cool in October.
Needless to say she wasn't in the mood to see my 20 ft. Reaper, and all the tombstones I'd made and painted all year. The last thing she wanted to see was her front yard turned into a place of coffins, skulls, and reminders of death.
Out of respect to her I told her I wouldn't do it. It was just too soon.
But she told me to go ahead and set everything up. That her Mother was a kind and loving soul, and would want us to go ahead and celebrate life, in the face of death. That she would've enjoyed the fun we bring to everyone, and would look down from Heaven and have a good laugh at all the kids we scared.
So we went ahead and set everything up, and had the best Halloween ever, with the most people we've ever had. And my wife told me she had an absolute blast handing out all the candy to the wee ones with my elderly Mom dressed as a Witch. That instead of hurting her feelings, she recieved so much fun with the kids and families, that she can't wait for this year, and to spend even more stuff for better props.
That Halloween isn't just a time of monsters, ghosts, and death. It can be a celebration of life, fun, and joy. That we can share with others. And bring that light also into ourselves.
After all, that is why we do this.

I am in West TN and have been haunting for about 11 years now. I am glad to see everyone from TN. I didn't know who was and who wasn't. Matt I hope you are able to find someone to help you haunt in East TN.
Lady Althea hope you enjoy living in Nashville, I can't image moving from Maine to Nashville though. Be glad to talk to anyone about my haunt's I do each year for charity."The closet door was open. Just a crack." S. King, "The Boogeyman
