Was wondering if anyone had simple, easy maze layouts that they do for there yard. After googling halloween haunt ideas I thought it would be fun to add a maze before the dot room. But I make a design to save my life.

The maze will be made out of pvc and rebar. Maybe using the glow stick effect where people will have to find the hidden messeges on the wall with the glow stick to get out. Or have it so one exit leads to the dot room and one leads back to the front yard.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

Do you plan on making a maze with dead ends and allowing people to wander around freely? Or a twisting one-way walk-through?

Best thing to do is get some graph paper, draw out your yard, then make the path. Use each square as 1 foot, then draw it out, making several versions. Switchbacks are useful to gain distance out of not much area. Be sure to allow at least 4 feet of width to your passage, as most zoning laws require that much.

I've done a 4-room maze in my front yard, which was more like an semi-enclosed one-way walk-through.

How large will thkis be and what will the walls be made from?
Successfully scaring little kids since 1990.

    the basics-
The maze would be half of the back yard wich is big. I don't know the exact size demintions so I'll get back to you on that. The wall covering will be black fabric. I don't think I'm going to do the glow stick effect just because It won't be that big of a maze.

Hoping to have a few dead ends and at least three spooky spots. The maze is directed more for the tot's. The age for tot's in our neighboor hood are 1-10 so it's just a little fun effect. The dot room would be more for the older kids because that would scare really good.

if you're not doing the glow stick effect, how about those rope lights. i haven't tried them yet, but i bought a rope light after christmas, and if what the box reads is true, it has a controller so you can control the pulseing of the lights. i only bought one, will probably regret not buying more.

Rope lights would be cool but I only see them around during christmas and sometimes in the summer but they are super exspensive for only a certin amount of feet. I did however get a bunch of purple and orange lights on sale for .25 a box at walmart. I used purple lights on our light post at the end of the walk way with glow in the dark spider web and a strobe light on them and it looked great.
