Anyone else making an effort to get neighbors involved in decorating? Bringing it up because I just loaned out Christmas decorations to three neighbors this year to spread the cheer around a little.
At Halloween my neighbors across the street "kidnapped" my three littlest pirates, tied them to stakes and painted a big ransom note on a sheet that we hung on their front porch behind the abductees. I changed the location of my cannon to the end of my driveway so that I could point it at their house to threaten the kidnappers. We had such fun with it that we're planning to expand on the "rival pirate crew" thing next year. I'll lend them a few more pirates and may build a new cannon if I have time so they can fire back.

I am really hoping to get the neighbors more involved. The neighbors to my left are great, but they don't do much for decorating. They're very supportive, and I know they'd let me decorate their place, but I haven't actually crept into their yard yet.
I have new neighbors to the right who moved in just before Halloween this past season. I'll have to check in with them over the summer and see what plans they might have -- or if they need any help.

Because of my hit haunt, we had about 7 house decorated (without including my neighbours) just on my street view! Everyone told me I inspired them! Yay! I wonder how many got trashed too because of the wind. I forgot to check them after we were done. When the tv channel came to my house for a small segmet, I ran to every houses with decorations to get the kids to come on tv with us. Everyone in the neighbourhood was so happy and thought it was very nice to do what my wife and I did. I hope next year will be even better!

My neighbors are greAt at being supportive and helping me out since I'm only 14. We tried to do a scene across our roof (it's a double house me and my neighbors) but we didn't because he had a back injury. He has always inspired me to do better and he's the reason my haunts get so many compliments. Of course I'm the one who comes up with the ideas, themes, and I build everythng he just gives me ideas.

I actually haven't decorated my house in three years, I have been collaborating with my friend at his place. I am planning on coming back with a bang this year however. I usually loan stuff out like foggers and strobes as I have too many of them. I plan on making 10 basic tombstones to give out next year, and a MM statue for my buddy since I won't be costuming and scaring kids there this year. I also usually buy candy for the neighbor on one side of us, the one on the otherside of us is a bible beater and calls me sadistic. So no candy for them
I tend to give more during halloween then during christmasWe stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside of us

I wish we had cool nighboors that would do this but with our luck they are just a bunch of old stencil women.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

My neighbors are great and very supportive...it just sucks that the three guys that would go all out all moved away...so I'm the only house out of 12 in the cul-de-sac doing anything. Now looking across the road where you turn into the cul-de-sac, a lot of folks down there decorated this year, no haunts, but lots of lights.

I am actually hoping to put my graveyard in my neighbor’s yard so I can do a shipwreck pirate theme in my yard. I am still planning on how to build the ship and the cannon. There are so many wonderful tutorials on this site I don’t know where to start.

I wish I had neighbors who showed even the slightest interest! Both adjacent neighbors and the houses across the street don't even turn on their light, let alone decorate for Halloween! Even at Christmas-not a single decoration or festive lights from any of them! I've offered decorations, but no takers. These people just have no spirit.
