I've been testing out my new Nikon D3000, here are two shots I managed to snap recently. Can't wait to get take more!

i got a new camera, i put in the memory card, turn on the camera, it reads -memory card requires formatting- then there is -ok or cancel- i move it up to -ok- press the -ok- button, it goes to -formatting- then it goes back to-memory card requires formatting. what am i doing wrong?
