Hi, this is a little late, but I was wondering what do you give your volunteers /actors for helping out with your haunt? Any ideas of what to give them or something cheap and simple to make? Ideas and thoughts greatly appreciated, thanks.

Mine are more than happy with beer and pizza in large quantities....

When I worked security for a local haunted house a couple years ago, everyone seemed to be content with food and drinks

Yeah, I just want to give a little something extra. Most of my volunteers were younger cousins, so they skipped trick or treating to be a part of the haunt...plus my uncle and a few friends. Also my neighbor helped out tremendously( probably wouldn't have set up half of the walk through without his input and help) so I'd like to give him more than just a "thanks" . Just curious if any haunters give their volunteers a little extra for helping out.

Make them a small "Scare package" but, tailor each one to the individual person.
Have a set budget that you would want to spend the entire thing vs per person. A scary cd, rubber bat or spider, along with one or more of their favorite Halloween candies. Instead of tissue paper, use faux spider webbing. These things can be done cheaply with items bought in bulk from a dollar store, etc.

For the younger ones that miss out on trick or treating just get a large assortment of candy. It will kind of make it up to them. Or depending on how much your willing to spend take them out to do something fun like bowling or to an arcade.

Ah, right...the youngsters.
Some good ideas here already. We have a couple of young girls in our haunt. (Nothing creepier than a spooky little girl), and one of them (Chloe) can scream for England.
As well as unlimited pizza and fizzy pop, we also give them an envelope containing a few ££'s as "wages". Not very imaginative I know, but it does make them feel rather grown up and professional.

Along the lines of what Haunty said, a goodie bag with the large size candy bar or two of their choice, maybe a coupon for a rental at their favorite video store, some cool Halloween item and/or figurine. Gift cards are alway welcome (straight from my teens mouth too!) or you could take them out for ice cream (though the teen thought that would be less cool, it would still be -sort of- cool.)

Most movie theaters will allow you to buy a coupon book. You can get them at ACM or most local theaters. It's just a gift certifict but you could split one up between everyone.

Generally haunts I've helped with provided food and drink during operations and often held a cast/tech party about a week afterward. For something more durable, there have been a lot of good ideas, but you might think about making staff t-shirts. this can be done by cafepress or a local shop or you can find DIY iron on transfers at craft and fabric stores--or go REALLY cheap and use a stencil and spray paint like my brother did.
