I am getting strange looks and concern from family members because
I'm still talking about props for 2010 and watching "prop how to's". Should I be concerned about an intervention?
I went to Kohl's to do some post Halloween deals and the x-mas songs were being piped in thru the sound system like nails on a chalkboard.
Anyone else getting strange looks from your loved ones due to perceived untimely Halloween planning?

I learned to stop talking to the regular folks about Halloween after a few weeks into November. They really don't get it and I got tired of the weird looks.

That's why I'm so glad forums like this are around. All of us are crazy.

I keep the Halloween talk to a few close friends and that is it.
Eventhough I am Dead it is always warm inside my bed.

I started building a MM statue last weekend, I was checking out at lowes and went to my favorite cashier. She asks what I was building since I always have contraptions being built. Said Halloween stuff and I got, "You know Halloween was last month, I think you missed it". I didn't know what to say other than "only 344 days left till next year, I already feel behind schedule"
My family says atleast I am not doing drugs, lost my last GF a month before Halloween because she got annoyed by me building my costume since summer. Hell I bought her a new necklace since I felt bad not being with her all the time. I could of bought a better fogger if she would have decide to break up a week earlier. So yeah halloween comes with its casualties.

After Halloween is over and packed away I am not allowed to talk about Halloween until February. Now, if the wife brings up Halloween in that time frame all bets are off.

I, too, have been asked not to prop build until February. It makes a mess of the garage, and we have to throw money at the Holidays (not three axis skulls) right now. That seems fair, but I still can't wait to get back at it. I'll use this time right now for planning instead of building.
Actually, In September I made a mental note not to lock myself in the garage until Halloween, but I did it anyways. There were just way too many awesome things, like the laser vortex, that kept popping up here and at the the Garage of Evil. My friendly Ace clerks down the road are always wondering what I'm up to with the strange combination of parts I buy there...

My wife is making fun of me because I go on this site daily since I found it. But I explained to her that this place is the best halloween/horror oriented site I ever seen. People are nice and intersting, I love seeing other people's beautiful props and I know everyone here feel the same as I do for halloween. I join other sites/facebook groups concerning horror/halloween and they suck. Even were I live, there is a facebook and website for horror groupies for my city, but they never meet or talk to each other. Very depressing if you love halloween. So, I come here and for now, still a big fan. And about my wife, she is just as bad as me as into in halloween, but refuse to accept it (L). We are trying to get into the Christmas mood this next weekend and decorate. But I'll be honest, I am having a hard time letting go Halloween this year, since I learn many new things and past mistakes. Can't wait for next year.
