Thread: Need help deciding to open three nights next year. (Read my intro before voting)

I have a walk through style home haunt. I am considering opening Fri, Sat, and Sun next year(Oct. 29, 30, and 31). If you were an actor for me, would you only come on Friday and/or Saturday because of work on Monday? No matter what I want to be open on Halloween, that isn't going t change. But if you were a friend of mine would you take the easy way out and stay home on he night that really matters.

Certainly not.
I'd be there on the big night, regardless what day of the week it was on, or on how many nights the haunt had been operating previously.
Halloween night is Halloween night.

its going to be one of those party pooper years u have to be open on halloween. it would be sort of point less to set up everything for the days before. but thats just me.

when I was working I always took vacation time/day of/day after off.ive actually told employers this before excepting jobs.as far opening the day before? 2005-06 we were open 2weeks before H.W.

I always take the next day off anyway to hit the half off sales

I'd be there on Halloween My friends who help me with my yard haunt only come over on Halloween! They love it. And if they really are your friends they won't leave you hanging on the big day.

Here's my 2 cents.
Go for 3 nights. You really sort of have to run on the big night, but you'll get a reduced attendance because of school/work the next day [or maybe not--10/31 was a Sat this year and I had fewer Tots than last year]. Every haunt I've ever helped with has always had a party atmosphere. It's just plain fun. You don't need the same actors every night and this gives some of your friends who have never done this before a chance to participate. You can have a "cast party" for your friends on Sat night when you wrap for the evening. three nights also lets you mix things up a little because you *will* get return visitors. Different actors act differently and that can make each night its own experience.

since i run my own haunt i wouldn't be there. but if i didn't run my own haunt YES i would be there. i cast my vote like i didn't run my own haunt

4. Should I lie to some of my friends and say we're only open on Sunday(so I get hem on Sun.)?
