My husband and I were discussing when was the last time we saw anyone use those bags you fill with leaves. I had ran across a box of mine from 1984 and remembered most people had them in their yards back then. I also have a huge black cat head, giant spider that worked great up on the roof, and my favorite was a witch and cauldron. Does anyone still use these?

I see them for sale every year but it's kind of silly here in Florida. We don't have many trees that drop their leaves.

I have not seen those bags in years! I think it would be a alright thing to find some.

I was never able to actually fill them with leaves because they don't drop until after halloween. We always stuffed with newspaper...that's how I was able to keep them clean and reuse them

They're still pretty common up here in the north east. I saw quite a few of them in yards this year.

Someone down the road from me had the ghost ones on their lawn, so apparently they're still available in Alaska. Actually, it was the first I'd seen of anyone in the neighborhood decorating, and it was the week before Halloween.

I still have several packages of them myself. We have not used them in years and the house we just moved into this year doesn't have any trees. But I guess if I ever decide I need them I can stuff them with newspaper as someone said they do. They still seem to be a popular yard decoration here in KY.

I see them all the time in Minnesota. In fact, at least three houses near us still have them out now. I don't use them because they don't fit my theme and I can get biodegradable heavy paper bags that can just go right into the county's mulcher/shredder. the plastic bags get torn open to dump the contents and they end up in a landfill somewhere.

I was actually looking for someof these this year, but couldn't find any. Not that I looked real hard, but I did keep my eyes open for them. I used to enjoy these as a kid and its pretty much the only thing my parents did as far as "decorating" outside. I don't remember seeing anyone with them in their yard either this year.
