...Finally have my haunt and all my props broken down and put away. Last year it took a week and thought that was long but took twice as long this year. I think if I keep building and adding props next years may spand into December!

Anyone else have the same experience or still putting their props in their 'offseason' homes?

I finished packing things away on Friday the 13th. Mostly it was the basement Haunted House walls that still had to come down. I took the day off from work and had them down and stored by lunch. Then I finished packing up most of the accessory props in bins and boxes and put the body frames up in the attic crawl space.

The rest of the house and outside were cleared up a week before that and I had to take 1 day to rake leaves otherwise I would have been done sooner.

BTW I still have some props and things out that need repair or modifications. I don't count those since I have to leave some projects around to do until next Halloween.

It seemed that things came down slower this year that in the past but I wasn't in a big hurry.

Think of the time you'll save if you end up in december. You can grab the xmas decorations while putting the halloween stuff away

I'm actually still finding "good homes" for some of my props, but I got most thing put away by Nov. 3rd. I would have had everything put away by now, but I was called out of state for work all of last week. Today we have a wind storm, which is a pretty good test of where I have put everything.

I know there are still a few things I need to move from the front yard, but on the whole -- it's pretty clean!

I had business travel the week following HW and was exhausted (from travel and HW Haunt work) when I got back. Didn't do much on the 7th & 8th. Went at it with full effort 14th & 15th, but we'll still need this next weekend to get it all put away.

We started pulling out the lumber on LaborDay weekend and (I hope) we'll have it all put away the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Almost three months this year. Sheeesh.
Please check my 2011 Haunt album here on HF. http://www.halloweenforum.com/member...ween-2011.html
    Thanks

I have also just finished puting the tubs into the shed. We had the main part done in a few days but have a few things still lying around that need to be put away. The main thing still haunting me is some faux walls that I put up in the carport. I had some back pain issues latley and havent felt up to pulling the walls down. So I still have a dungeon wall in the carport.

I don't do an overly big haunt so I don't have a ton of stuff to put away, my issue is to find space for everything that I do have. My home is pretty conservative when it comes to storage so its a challenge. This year we made a full size toe pincher coffin and now I haven't a clue where to put it. So everything is put away BUT that coffin which is still sitting in my back yard...lol
As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.

You could leave it out all year round and give the kiddies something to talk about for next year. Start spreading rumors that there was a madman who lived there once. He killed and buried his wife in the backyard... then one day she clawed her way to the surface...
