This is never an easy thing regardless of the size or type of haunt & number of people attending. I build a non-profit haunted maze every year & refuse to send guests through as a non-stop conga line. lol Yes, the pro haunts have to get the maximum amount of guests through in a timely matter. It's their way of making the most amount of money, for the limited window of time open. I'm not knocking them for it. But since I'm non-profit, I want my guests to enjoy their time in it. So I limit the group size from 2-4. But every year I try to get the sizes smaller. Remember there is safety in numbers. And guests aren't as prone to get scared in larger groups. Plus it's a safety factor as well, when it comes to tripping hazards, etc. Don't forget the importance of the minions inside scaring guests forward.

We fence the entrance and the cemetary and me and my wife, we rotate to always have someone in the front of the entrance to welcome the kids.
