Greetings,
Yeah yeah yeah I know you all HATE the word Christmas, etc ... But my question IS related to Halloween.
It is not a surprise that there are a billion stores selling Christmas items now ... and there is plenty to choose from, but my question is a rather interesting one ...
Are there props, items, etc that people have bought during the Christmas season that have been "retro-fitted" for Halloween a year later ... ie: Santa figures that are turned into those like "Silent Night / Deadly Night" or electronic or light controllers, and on and on and on ...
I am really curious as to how other have been creative with these items since they are so cheap and so easy to get now.
I bought a "Light-O-Rama" system that was designed to create ellaborate Christmas light shows, and used it to control my lighted signing pumpkins for Halloween ... But that is the extent to what I did that combined products from the 2 holidays ...
Have other done interesting things as well?

I have seen {on here someplace} an animitron Reindeer wearing fake fur, and a Wolf mask... and I might do one of those for next year.
So long as nobody knows where you got the "skeleton" ... they wont mind what they dont see when its all dressed up. Presumably Santa, Snowmen, Pixies and so forth would be bad form.... I am talking straight up Christmas decorations, that you dont pack away and you leave the same prop in the same spot.
Some of those obnoxious oversized blow up Halloween decorations might as well be Christmas Decorations too... but I digress.

I saw at Canadian Tire a life size dancing Santa at 80$, move his hips side to side and turn his head left and right and move his elbows up and down, and sings 4 songs.
Of course, when he comes on special, I will buy him and he will be turned into a screaming twisting freak of nature next year...
My wife rolled her eyes when she saw me looking at him the first time at the store, saying "don't you dare!" I responded just with a small sinister laught... Mohahahaha...

I built this animated teeter-totter for a Christmas prop contest last year:

Over the summer I painted a new teeter board to mount on the motor assembly and turned it into a Halloween themed teeter-totter instead:

Someone used a tree topper animated angel to put in their cemetery. If I remember correctly he turned it a grey stone look and added red led eyes.
Last year a scary xmas contest was held here and everyone came up with great ideas even tho' they really didn't covert xmas items into halloween....just gored them up alot
