Thread: Who is still packing?

So we are getting close to 2 weeks since Halloween. Who is still packing up their stuff for the year?

Personally I have all my tubs / boxes / bags of inside stuff inside now, but not officially under the stairs. Just littered around down stairs annoying my wife. About 2 hours of work still in the garage until I can officially bring the cars back in again. I had about 6 helpers on November 1st. That lasted about 2 hours.

Me. But it's because I've been too lazy to pack it back up lol

I'm still packing...mostly because I'm trying to organize and label everything so that I don't have props that never actually make it into the haunt (like I did this year.)

I just finished moving all the Rubbermaid tubs (11 of them!) up into the attic yesterday and all of my skeletons are hanging from the rafters.

I have a bunch of pallets that I use in my haunt to raise the level of my deck so my props clear the railings. I then re-use the pallets as a floor under my house and I stack all of my larger props on top of them......keeps everything high and dry!

It has taken me about three days to get everything down, packed up and put away.....the lovely bride is most pleased....!!!!!

Me! Still have half a dozen mannequins I need to unclothe and store, plus about eight or ten big plastic tubs worth of small props I need to finish sorting and find a place to store. At least this year I'll be able to integrate the immediate post-holiday purchases into the storage boxes in an organized way. That's something, right? Right?

I just got everything in the storage shed last Sunday! My hubby always tells me that I can't buy anymore Halloween stuff because we dont have room. I told him to let me pack everything because I thought if I packed it, there would be plenty of room.. NOT!!! My storage shed is stuffed from floor to ceiling, wall to wall!! How will I talk him into letting me buy anything next year??!! LOL

I commend you for your effort! For me its more like tetris.. stick things where it fits. But on that note, I can concur that I had all my boxes out in the garage this year and found myself working a dozen different things. Couldn't ever find all I needed for one thing right away.

Oh and my 2 year old daughter helping to decorate did not help much! Masks strung out all over the place. Parts of things actually all boxed together opened and moved to another box. But probably the most awesomest thing was when I would find one of mid sized props craddled up in the arms of one of my skeletons. Apparently they all needed to have babies.

my stuff isn t even down yet! well we got quite a bit packed up. we still have to take down canopys and walls, once we get them away,we can start stacking eveything elce on top of them....around them.... shoved beside them. lol

I am still packing because I ran out of storage containers and storage space...

I'm still trying to get things put away also! I didn't even have much outside this year but everything was spread out within the top floor of the house for the adults and all of the lighter stuff downstairs for the kiddos. About 30% of my stuff is still upstairs and all else is downstairs waiting to be put away in their snug boxes and totes..geesh, I gotta go buy at least 5 totes! I, just today, got my kitchen table undecorated! LOL Laziness or sadness?!.
