We all know here that the 13 Floors Haunt is a rumor.

I'm saying we all pitch in some money, buy a 13 story building, and set up a haunt . Rumor no more! Now that'd be fun.

That'd be fun. Expensive but fun.

It would be alot of work to get that many floors worked into a haunted house. You have to take into account stairs and elevators. How will patrons ascend to another level, while others leave. You don't want it getting clogged up, you also have to worry about wheelchairs. It would be a huge marketing thing however, worlds tallest haunted House, most levels in a haunted house in the world. However I think if you could talk the owners of haunted houses around the country in to it, it might be possible.

I think going pro would take a lot of the fun out of it. Worry more about safety, security, and money then the scares. But each their own.

I agree. It'd be very costly and extremely hard to plan.

I still think it'd be cool though ;P.

I would be worried that this would open a portal to hell.

so why not just rent out the 13th floor instead of buying the whole building lol

^^^I was going to suggest this, or just make a fake stairwell/staircase leading up to the entry door of your haunt, on the door it says, "13th Floor".

What kind of scares would be appropriate for a 13th floor - bad luck scares (ie: black cat crosses your path & then you have "bad luck" and near misses throughout the rest of the haunt?) or like you've stepped into another dimension (a la "Twilight Zone")?

I am really into controversial scares, I like the dark and Satanic themes for haunts. Any media coverage about "Controversial New Haunted House" will help advertise the haunt. Plus it is just a scary concept, kinda like the Pennhurst Institute of Feat that opens next year. It is built in a very active haunted mental institute, the workers are getting freaked and wont work alone. So build it in a Haunted Mental Hospital and build it on the upper level and have all the lines inside the building on the lower levels. Let the real ghosts entertain the guests in line, make it quiet so they can hear the screams from "The 13th Floor".

I also thought it would be cool to put slides into it so once you are done you just slide down the the main lobby on the first floor.
