Is it just me or have you noticed you spend more money on Halloween props, decorations, candy, etc. than you do for any other holiday...say like Christmas?

And, the funny thing is, I don't feel bad about this, not one little bit.

I hear you girlfriend. I think the reason I spend so much is because I am spending money all year long, I am constantly looking for good sales on Halloween props during the off season or searching flea markets for old chandeliers for the halloween party, there is always something. Christmas I dont start til November and I buy the gifts and some new lights and then done! So yes I definately spend more money on Halloween than any other holiday!!!!!

    That's it. I couldn't figure it out.

I buy all year long for Halloween, too. I only shop for Christmas just before and that's just for presents and new lights or a little something to add to the yard or to fix something broken. That makes so much more sense. I'm glad I'm not alone, Spook.

P.S. We still go all out for Christmas, but my mother gave me her 20+ years collection of lights, moving things, etc. I'm set for Christmas, but I always have to one up myself each year for Halloween.

yeah, i think thats the same for us, but we went all out for Christmas last year and bought all the decorations we need, so no need to buy those this year, just some gifts for the kids and a tree and thats all...............I say that but my wife works at a Hallmark store so I know we'll end up with more stuff LOL

Christmas still wins for me too. I spent alot more in 08 for halloween than I did this year. Thanks to this site and the great ideas of home prop building.

This year we have spent a lot of money on both Holidays.

My husband and I have moved 3 times in the last 5 years due to his work and my school.

And we are still trying to replace everything that got damaged during our moves, or that we had to give away.
