My boss introduced me to this forum in September. At first I was just checking out the "props" and the "how-to" pages. I was looking for ideas. Then I started looking in the "general". It's now a week into November and I am still here. Don't get me wrong, this is a great site and I am not knocking the site. It's just, what is drawing me here? Is it the stories? Have I become a Halloween junky? Is it that I've finally found a bunch of people that I can relate with? My wife doesn't say anything, but I'm sure she's saying in her mind "OMG, it's over....time for Christmas".
What keeps bringing you here? Maybe I'll find my answer in yours.

With me, first off I love Halloween and to find so many others that are the same way is great. Second, with all of the tallent that is on this forum it's hard not to come back and see whats new. Even when I'm looking to get ideas for things to do or build I'm also looking to see who needs help with something and if I can lend a hand too, whitch is another reason I come back.

For me I am a Halloween junkie so this is the place for me. The quality of the people on this site are amazing. As I am kinda new to prop building I also hope one day to be able to lend a hand to others as those here have helped me. Plus where else could you ask how build a splitting skull with puss oozing out of it during the month a march without people saying "What's wrong with you"

I think pd said it well - there's a lot of incredible ideas here, an unbelievable amount of imagination.
On the rare occasion I actually can help, I like to be able to do so.
Additionally, I'm here because of the people - I've made quite a few friends, and there are many people I just like to see what they have to say on things.
...and I'll second this!! (well...not actually a spitting skull, but you get the idea)Hell is an eternity of getting up at 4am to nothing but decaf coffee...
2009 photos and 2008 photos ...uhmmm...and what I have evolving...

A lot of members disappear after Halloween and don't resurface until late summer or early autumn. A lot of them are on everyday, and some just drop by every now and then. I check in often if only to read some threads and see what good creative ideas have popped up., There is always something going on; a new video or some pics of a prop build. The "regulars" are like familiar faces and it's neat to catch up on what everyone's been up to. Granted the board slows down for a time but once everyone is re-charged, the juices start flowing. The number of great prop ideas this year was outstanding and it really is advantageous to stop by frequently so as not to miss anything.

This is a hard question...
I agree with pdcollins6092 about all of the talent that is on this forum and it being hard not to come back and see what’s new, especially when everyone's work is so inspiring.
And it is amazing to see how props and parties progress and transform overtime and with input from other forum members.
But for me it is more about the interaction then the ideas alone. The individual ideas could be found elsewhere on the web ( in fact I already subscribed to many of the other members channels on You Tube for years before I ever found this site). But nothing else compares to this forum.
And in my humble opinion the particular people who are on this forum make this forum special. (And Larry for all of his hard work and monitoring)
Finally I like the challenge of this forum. Like pdcollins6092 I'm also looking to see who needs help with something. I typically look for the threads that have 0 posts and try to find a solution or suggestion.
