Actually... I would say yes... There are only small things easily available, some bigger stuff in franchises like Party World (that basically buy large amount of stuff from the US to re-sell it here, but there is just one shop like that in Rome), or you can try to buy stuff from eBay (but then shipping is prohibitive for large props and such...)
So I went the "funny route" and I made most of the stuff for that night myself!![]()

Hey thanks for sharing! Always interested in how other cultures handle stuff like this. On one hand I wish it was more like that over here as it would just make the custom stuff we do shine even more. To much crap in the stores!

And I can understand what you mean, also, it's so much fun when people enjoy what YOU made and not just what you purchased...
I wish I had the know-how to make some electronic props... Well, I have few months to learn something useful about that...
