Default When do you stop making props?

About 2 years ago I started renting a 10x20 storage building just for my Halloween props. This year I could barely close the door and this shed is packed better than some storage containers coming from overseas. I lot of whats stored are props that I have built being pneumatic, motorized and static.

When do you call it quits on making prop? It is so enjoyable to build these items and family and friends have been accustomed to seeing a new addition to the yard.

Do you ever get rid of the older ones to make room for the new one you would like to build?

My wifes seems to think that maybe I should focus on refurbishing my older props.

How about it guys and gals?

Never. I plan to either sell them if they grow outside my capabilities to store or give them to neighbors and just extend my haunt onto their yard .

You never stop. When you don't want the props anymore you sell them to make some money so you can buy supplies to make new ones. ;-)

The things that actually take up the most space in my yard are the guys I have sitting in chairs (check pics in profile). I use shrink wrap tubes for their bodies and recycle the tubes afterward so I don't have to store them. BUT........I am slowly getting bigger. Like now I am storing my fencing I made this year. Everything goes in the attic, so I have to watch how far I go with it. I only work on stuff in September and October. I must think of my wifes' sanity, lol.

The wife's sanity is the best thing to remember. IslandCryptKeeper will bring home pallets and misc. junk and put it in the basement and not say a word. I'll find it when I go down there and I'm like what the .... heck happened down here. Sanity is good.

Do you really think I can pass up a free barrel? Don't you know I can make a sweet fog chiller out of that bad-boy!? They're like 50 bucks on craigslist!

Thats a good idea! I mass produced alot of stuff this year as we expanding through the garage and out the back door. I think this year will be more about quality versus quantity. Try your hand at the electronics end. Plan to try out a 3-axes skull this year.

I am going to attempt some complex items. I purchased the ez-8 a few months ago which looks really nice but I need to build something complex to justify using it on a particular prop.
