I agree. You done a great job. Using the tarp as water and the ship is fantastic.

Yep. What the others have said....you did it with heart, and it looks great!
You had fun, and so did the kids. I'd call that mission accomplished!!!!"I have a secret...........I see stupid people....and they don't know they're stupid..."

You did a great job on your haunt! How fun it must be to decorate the campsite. I love the ship. In the third picture it looks like the smoke from the cannons is dark. Is that just a photographic coincidence or is there an additive in the fog? Either way, a great effect. Its wonderful how the fellow campers want to know where you'll be next Halloween if you're not going to be at the same site!

That's really cool, how much time did it take you to make the boat? It looks like it was a lot of work.

Thank you very very much! Haha interesting you noticed the fog, we had a few black smoke bombs left from the 4th and every now and again we would let one off inside the cannon during a burst of fog. The red leds inside the cannon made it AMAZING at night. Thank you for the kind comments!
Surprisingly the boat was the least time consuming. I did it the night before, it is two sheets of blue insulation foam, I sprayed the entire thing with Krylon H20 primer, then drew the "planks" with a giant sharpie. Cut out holes, and found some foam circles for the portholes. Then spray painted two different shades of brown and little black (there were several patches in the boat where the paint had started to eat away, it actually made the boat look authentic!). The "seam" on the front is insulation you put around windows, painted. It was easy and turned out GREAT! (we built a makeshift frame 10min before treat or treat haha) I would definitely like to thank tjlwolf for his help with the ship. I spent two weeks on the mast, and it was sadly torn down and ruined in the thunderstorm. It was gigantic and was up past the camper, included a crows nest with a pirate, and two sails. I just happened to have some spare pvc pipe and a sheet lying around.
Thanks to everyone for all of their kind comments! We had a blaaast! I am already starting to brainstorm for next year, plan on a few "help me out" posts soon! Thanks again! ^_^
