this was the first year my sister wanted to do candy at her house, a block up. Its literally a 2 minute walk house to house across the width of a street block. She got maybe 20 TOTs while I got nearly 100. They closed after an hour and came to join my yard.

that's awesome. I live across the street from the Christmas "Blow up" King . It wouldn't be so bad if he kept with some sort of theme, but NOTHING he has matches or makes any sense. I think he just buys whatever is on clearance asfter Christmas. That and the fact his yard is so small they are literally touching each other. I'll have to get a picture since they should be going up here very soon..

I think kids were avoiding that house because of his low life drinking buddy. Just my opinion. But there is halloween scary and then there is real scary.

And no... My neighbors didn't seem to have that problem. In fact some kids avoided my house because they saw my haunted trail as a time waster when they could be getting more candy.

The lowlife'ted factor wasn't an issue. To notice that, would require longer exposure. Which I certainly get, and have come to anticipate with every major holiday... The kids didn't even see their house. And thier house as decorated witha graveyard, and sweet pumpkins I wish I had carved.

It was the griswold proportion of lighting, smoke, giant fake fire etc. Next year a laser vortex will be involved. So it only gets 'worse' from here on out....

Certainly the "Ditto ---->>" light scheme would be recommended for any of our neighbors. I would go as far to say that all of you should show that "ditto" pic to your neighbors as a cautionary warning, and advice on what they must do.
