Default Thunder and Lightening machine suggestions please!

Was just wondering what TLMs people on here are using or suggest I try out? Last year I built a sound organ kit from a company online. It wasa pain in the u know what, but I finally got it to work. It worked about half the night last year. This year when I tested it out, it worked for 1 sec and the fuse blew. Replaced the fuse and it doesnt work at all now. So I was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions on some of the TLMs that are sold on many of the Halloween prop websites. Thanks for any info and suggestions!

I have the firefly FF=501. Expensive but oh so sweet, especially the dimming circuit.

FireFly Halloween Lightning Controller and Special Effects Lighting by Lights Alive

I was going to get the I-zombie but unfortunatly they were out when I decided to get it so I got the firefly instead. I hear the I-zombie's are nice also. I kicked the mp3 player over to music while I was tearing down at the end of the evening, it was like being at the disco.

I bought a Color Organ kit and built it myself. It's worked flawlessly for the last three years!

I used the Christmas FX light controller. Bought mine from LTD commodities online for about $16 with the shipping charges. Worked really great.

Ditto. Used 2 of the Christmas F/X boxes this year. My lightning track is in stereo and it worked awesome. I piped in the audio right into the jacks on the back of the units. I picked them up at Tuesday Morning last year for $7 each after Christmas. You can't go wrong.

I would steer clear of the one from HauntMaster products. I've had nothing but trouble with mine. Next year, I'm going to try something else. Thanks for starting this thread!

Thanks for the feedback everybody. What are the Christmas fx light controllers you guys are talking about? Does anybody have a website by chance or what stores can you find them at? I may have to give them a try for that price and if they have worked for everyone.

Dr. Dark. Thanks for the heads up on Hauntmasters TLM. Having said that, I have done business with them in the past and I have nothing but great things to say about them and their products and customer service. Just wanted to add that.

I wasn't trying to bash HauntMaster, as I have four of their Flex-ECT prop controllers, and they all work great. I just haven't had much luck with the TLM.
