Just wondering if Spirit Stores around you are still open?
I am heading to the twin cities both Friday and Saturday and want to know if it is worth driving to one of their locations. I was driving around town tonight and noticed that Halloween Express had the truck out front and in the process of storing what was left over. This I found a bit odd as I know they stayed open for at least a week last year and dropped down to 75% off. But considering the recession I think alot of places are rethinking how they handle clearance.
So please do tell on the Spirit Store situation!

You might have to check locally for your brick 'n mortar stores - ours had a big sign saying it would be open through this Sat. (11/07).
I noticed the Spirit banner here on the forum for the on-line Spirit store was showing clearances, so maybe you could check that out.Haunt to Live ... Live to Haunt

Bubbels, you are right a lot of stores are changing how they handle their clearance.
You should check out some thrift stores while you are out.
On halloween I stopped by to get some last minute clothes for a dummy and my thrift store was stocked wall to wall with brand new Halloween stuff.
I talked to the manager and he said a lot of the big stores donate the items rather than placing it on clearance.
If they donate it they can write off the full amount on their taxes (even if it is damaged or discontinued) and state they are helping the community.
If they put it on clearance, they get only 25% to 50% of the total amount and lose valuable store space.Darkness has a hunger that's insatiable

I called a few today and all I got was voice mail.
Propmistress - Do you know if the thrift store has to be considered Non Profit? Like Goodwill?

I'll find out tomorrow if our Halloween stores are open and having a sale.
I hope so, but it seems like everything is closing down faster this year and Christmas has replaced my beloved Halloween. :-( I'll update tomorrow.
