I just had to share this story.

I was sitting renewing my car tabs online and there is a knock at the front door. As I pass the window I see it is a little girl. I wonder what this is all about. I open the door and the girl asks if I was the one that did the Silva Cemetery on Halloween. I tell her yes I am and she hands me this certificate. I told her I was honored that she enjoyed it and she said that it was really cool. I scanned in the certificate she gave me to share with all of you.



This kind of thing is what makes all the hard work totally worth it. I also had another neighbor stop by yesterday as I was tearing things apart in the backyard. She commented on how much work it all is and how much fun they had Halloween night. She then said that her brother in law told her that this was the last year for the haunt. I told her that was most likely the case and she turned to her daughters and said, "girls this was the last year so I am glad you had so much fun". Then they poked their sad little faces around the opening in the gate. This and the girl giving me the certificate has me reconsidering whether or not I will give it another go next year.

Just wanted to share some of the fun things I had go in in the past few days!!!

Oh my goodness. I love the certificate. Frame it.

That rocks. My neighbor, who is the community organizer, is planning on starting a Halloween and Christmas decorating contest. There will be an entrance fee and the prizes will be gift certificates for restaurants or other things. I would LOVE to have some competition on Halloween. I'm tired of trying to just outdo myself, lol.
