Our Halloween night was a blast - One we will remember for a long time. I did my usual gig of being a statue by my courtyard gate and slowly opening the gate, but in a way that no one knows I'm the one doing it. (I am a grim reaper with a completely blacked-out face and people never know if I am real or not.) They walked through the courtyard to find my daughter on the front porch in her home-made fortune teller booth and I was amazed at how well she really played the part. I was worried she'd feel "dumb" - but she came through. Even the adults were going up to her to have their palms read. LOL
Then, as they left the courtyard I would scare the life out of them. All I had to do was say was BOO or Happy Halloween, and not even yell it, and they would scream their heads off. I even made some teenagers cry. ROFL [This is one of those stories that you had probably had to be there to get the full effect, but trust me - it was awesome !!!]
People were taking pics and videos of our front yard and the comments were heart-warming. All our hard work paid off. The only mishap was getting hit in the face by a 10-year old zombie. And though it ruined my mood for playing the reaper for the rest of the night, it did not take away from the night as a whole.
Here's a video if you're still awake after reading all my rambling. LOL
