I didn't see any prop disaster threads, so I figured I would start one.

My freaking pneumatic hangman (which is the oldest and most simple of my props) quit working about 10 minutes into trick or treating. He worked for 2 years the last time, and then quit. I narrowed the problem down to the air wiper motor (which I replaced this year). Even after doing an autopsy on the first motor, I could find anything apparently wrong. Now I am determined to tear this one down and find out what happened. Fortunately it was a little breezy, so he still looked good just swaying a little in the breeze...

Outside of that, evrything else worked like a champ all night.

On a side note, this was the first year I opted to buy "good" fog juice (froggy's) and I honestly can't say that I noticed much difference than the previous years using the crap I bought at the big box stores.... I am not sure if I would bother to buy it again.....

I have a 700 watt Lite F/X fogger that I have had for at least 7 years and it is a workhorse. It was one of the first major items I acquired when I started. I pray every year that it will hang in there and so far it has. It will be a sad day when it goes because it seems like all of the new foggers are pretty much junk. I've never even cleaned this one. It gets drained, wiped off, and put back in the box each year.

what did not work for me was the weather, the winds were horendous on halloween blowing my stuff all around or knocking it down. Never in all the years we had winds that bad. So my outdoor display was very limited.

My Fogger crapped out after an hour. Luckily I had another I purchased this year at Target...so we had some fog, but not enough for my liking
