YEPP i got 1 complaint this year !! got a phone call of some lady telling me that my hang man looks to real and i shouldent be making it move like that. and telling me that she lost her grand-child by hanging him self some 15 years ago.
and that i should remoove it !!!!! hummmmm it still hanging there sory im heartless (((

It's impossible to please everyone. I only hung 1 prop this year, just a witch near the door, some plastic witch from Kmart and some parent said it was too scary and upsetting his daughrter. Seriously people !!

No complaints but I did have a religious group come by. Funny they didn't stop. HMMMMMM! I wonder why.

You can't please everyone. I tend to stay away from hanging anyone just due to the wrong impression people can get if it's not done carefully and politically correct.

Jerking hang men bother me too, my uncle hung himself while my aunt was in the other room making coffee and she came back when he was jerking and couldn't save him. I would not, however, ask someone to take theirs down. I understand it's a common prop and just don't look or focus on them.

It's just like clowns scare some people, even the happy circus kind or animals scare people, or birds, etc.

It's very sad that her grandson hung himself but she has to understand that just because she suffered a devistating tragedy 15 years ago other people's lives can't revolve around her emotions. I would have left it up too. I don't think it's heartless, just assertive.

As for the K-mart witch being too scary....LOL....eh, some people just need something to complain about or their day just doesn't feel complete

I agree... Plus it is easier to get rid of the body if you don;t display it like that.. oh wait wrong discussion.

What can I say I would have probably said something i shouldn't have.

I hope it doesnt offend my neighbors because I plan on having one in my tree next year.
