On the second story left window is a cardboard cutout that has a strobe behind and movement created by a fan. Second story center window is a flying crank ghost with a Monsterguts wiper motor and powered by a hacked computer power supply and on the right side of the porch the hangman is also powered by another wiper motor. The spiders are running off a distributor type set up powered by a power roller painter motor.Life's a burden, then you die.....

Thank you, that's nice to hear. The spiders that I made actually are based on a small spider that is sold by Michaels. I just bought some of their small foam skulls, formed the legs with wire that I purchased at Lowe's in the rebar section. This wire comes in small spools and is great for prop building. After forming the legs I added some sculpey oven bake clay for the joints. Put in the oven for about 15 minutes. Let it cool down and then used day glow paints. The way that they move is somewhat complex. It's based somewhat on the way an automotive distributor works. I used a power roller painter motor and slowed the speed down with a router speed controller. I placed this set up on a somewhat square pine plank. At each corner I had oak dowel uprights and attached to these...... well, you know maybe I will just upload a few photos of the set up for the motion end of the spider props. Let me know if you would be interested.
