First-time poster here...just thought I'd post a nighttime photo of my first attempt at a yard haunt, although I have to say it's probably the smallest and least ambitious on this entire forum. We live in a dense urban area (El Cerrito, CA, which is in the East Bay north of Berkeley) and get only get a few (<50) ToT's a year in a neighborhood that doesn't really decorate for Halloween at all (us and the two houses next to us were it...the remaining houses didn't have ANYTHING!), so I can't really justify spending TOO much time and money, but it was still fun to create at least some atmosphere around our yard. I think the lighting and sound effects (played through a small boom box under the shrub) really helped what limited space we have become a bit more spooky. At least a few parents took photos of "Dead Ed," which was satisfying. Next year I'd like to add one or two more homemade tombstones, give Dead Ed some more structure using chicken wire, perhaps add another dummy and/or skulls laying around, and try to put something spooky in the upper window. I'm sure I'll be coming on here to ask for advice!

EDIT: SCROLL DOWN TO SECOND POST TO SEE PHOTO.

Welcome to the forum, you have a nice little haunt there.

Those are just your basic Mexican religious candles that you can buy in any Safeway store around here. We have a bunch left over from our wedding in 2007 and they work perfectly for the walkway.
