high wind gust , heavy rain on and off all day

animated gertrude spirit witch =soaked yet
gemmy kicking scarecrow = so soaked cant move its legs anymore , 2 witch down flat on their face too heavy with rain , all the murder of crows we did on the roof flew everywhere in the yard and on peoples head , halloween trees down.....i didnt have enough heart to go see how my pumpkinrot was holsing up with all that rain.

my husband spent all day freezing its ass in the gypsy tent to hold it so it would blow away with the wind so much so they wore 2 at time in it to hold it in place ....

flying witches well too wet to even run properly so that was shut down for the day .....

my turn out about 150 kids , usually we get over 800 and that only in 4-5 hours at other prior halloweens .....

my daugther got sick vomiting her dinner while trick and treater with my sister ....

my halloween spirit is pretty low right now , first time ever i was actually hoping for 9 pm to close up everything(thats not me) , and asses all the damages tomorow outside ....

so worst halloween ever for me , enough said , i am going to bed , thanks for letting me vent

yeah halloween sort of sucked for me to cuz the wind was horrible.

Oh hun...I am so so so sorry you had a horrible year. At leat you got 4 times the TOT'S I had!

Oh no, honey, I am sorry. There is next year...and we'll all be here to cheer you on...there is always another year, another Halloween and next year will be stellar!

I'm sorry your Halloween didn't turn out all that great, Witch, sounds like everything that could go wrong DID. My sympathies...hopefully 2010 will go better for ya. We had rain most of the day here in northern Georgia but it stopped around six pm and was cloudy from then on. I was sweating bullets that the weather was going to wreck everyone's good time.

Think the same way us cleveland brown fans think, there is always next year. The wind did suck today.

thanks guys , i know you can all relate somehow in here , i have been doing it and groing bigger each year for the past 7 years and never we had that weather at halloween day , i was gonna go to bed a little earlier and wasnt able to go had to unload the stress and disapointement and decompress a little , i ran a hot bath to my poor hubby who was so cold staying outside all day long in the rain he went straight to bed overtired....my poor daugther fell asleep on the sofa and as a little fever tonight ....

at least of all the people we got everyone liked it (for what was still running ) .....i even was told we wore mentioned on the radio thats how people out of town came to visit us this year , they mentioned a list of the most decorated houses and ours was mentioned . ....but what a bummer 150 kids only when i am use to over 800 anyone wants candy i have ALOT of leftover .....

i am just really bummed out that we couldnt make all the animated prop work properly or at all , those flying witches we worked on and that daveinthegrave worked on wore so cool and we didnt get to make those work ....and all the nice props we worked so hard and long on and spent our $ on all year gathering for tonight ....

well we can at least say we did look good
