Well another year has come and gone, and man am I exhausted! Eleven solid months or planning and brainstorming, three months of casual preparation, and then three weeks of non-stop building and re-building...for five hours of fun. Why do we do this to ourselves? LOL
I ended up not using quite a bit of stuff. Several of the larger tombstones were just no match for the wind and ended up being benched. Also I burned through two fan motors (one due to the wind knocking it down and jamming the gears, and one due to the freakin' rain!) so my "fan man" was just a static prop. Next year I'll have to redesign him.
I can't say enough good things about the "eyes" that someone had posted here. I'd forgotten to make them and rushed through five minutes of building/installing them late this afternoon. It ended up MAKING the haunt. I was afraid people wouldn't "get it", but we got SO many compliments on that effect alone. Thanks to the original poster!!!
I'm off to crash for a few weeks, but I know in 2 weeks I'll be ready to plan for 2010!
