I know everyone is really, really busy but just a quick question.
Believe it of not for the past four years I have managed to keep my foam filled latex props from getting wet.

We put the props out in the day and put them in shed each night so they wont get stolen.

Of course there is the dew at night when we pick them up, they seem to be fine and are dry the next day.

This is the first Halloween in years that there's a good chance of the rain not holding off til after T o T. Do we chance them getting possibly soaked? With kids at the door I cant run out to the yard and put them away if it starts raining.
    T o T here is but a two hour affair here (6pm - 8pm)

Can any one tell me of there experience with there foam filled latex getting rained on? I mean if water gets inside perhaps through pin holes in the latex do they never dry out?

Sorry to bother every one with this but Im having doubts as to whether or not I should take the chance. After all this is THE night but these props are really nice and not exactly replaceable (not at what I paid @ after Hallo. sales)

Thanks folks alot for your advice.

As long as there is no exposed foam, the latex will provide a great barrier. Any exposed areas you can brush with an exterior grade latex or acrylic house paint and be fine. The worst thing that would happen to exposed foam is mold or mildew. Both can be cleaned and dried without problems if done correctly. So, no worries.

Thanks for taking the time Demon - there is a small crack on the hand of my nailed down zombie (the photo). That must have happened from the heat and dryness in cellar where they live for the rest of the year.
Will have to keep that one inside. The others I'm not as certain..

A little clear nail polish will be a fast and sufficient temporary fix so you can keep him out this Halloween.
