Heh...I AM CLARK FRICKIN GRISWOLD!!! I thought about going lazy on Christmas this year, then the lil girl down the street was walking down the sidewalk with some friends and pointed to my house and said Santa goes up there, while pointing at my roof. How can that not inspire ya to freeze your butt off hanging lights and dragging stuff out to the attic and basement.
...let the appreciators be your motivators.
The folks that appreciate Halloween are the ones that motivate me to improve my haunt every year. Same goes with Christmas..seeing all the other houses lit up cranks up the I AM CLARK FRICKIN GRISWOLD in me. I'll be up in the maple tree tonight gettin my Griswold on.

YOU DA MAN!! although, I don't see any LEDs being around after Christmas this year. I'm amazed at how few lights are left on the shelf at the Big Bow stores. I used to raid Lowes on the 50% off and buy cases of single color miniature lights...all the Lowes around me have already been wiped out.
Might have to break down and pay full price for some blue LED net lights to put on my coffins that I use with the lightorama

Yeah, when I was in Walmart what appeared to be the warehouse manager mentioned that they were seriously low on stock already, had already re-ordered trees three times, and doubted much would be left by Christmas. Which is weird because they had lots of clearance left last year. I'm still hoping they have more of the LED lighting that looks like traditional mini-lights left, they still had a decent amount left but not heaps.
I got out some of the Ultra LED mini strands that Walgreens carries every year and the blue lights don't work.
It took them years to even put blue lights in them and it still doesn't matter. I have more somewhere, and I don't know if these sets are from last year or two years ago. I should bring batteries with me during clearance, also Walmart has battery mini strands from a different brand.
We seem to have veered completely off the topic cliff at this point.

If they have a problem with your love of Halloween and your handiwork, that's their problem, not yours, there are legions of Halloween enthusiast, and the movement is growing...I don't see seasonal specialty xmas stores popping up ...

Actually we haven't really gotten near those guys who make it onto TV shows with their animated christmas display with 5 million lights but we'll get there one day.
