This is the second year those little punks got some of my stones! They had three but must of dropped one because of the alarm I installed, I'm pretty sure they would've dropped two but the rain must've shorted one of them out. Well I'm making a couple hundred copies and putting them in mailboxes today offering a reward for the people and the missing stones. I havent even taken pics of the new ones....disapointing

I would love to decorate my yard and have a display up for a few week but this is the reason I dont. It's sad but I will only put up stuff on the day of Halloween which really sucks because it makes people think I'm not a Halloween fan until the big night. I would love to display things in my yard but I just dont want some jerk kids (or adults) ripping off my stuff.

That's why I would set up and tear everything down on Halloween. Less heartbreak that way. I do set up props in my windows and light them up so people can enjoy them.
Good luck in finding your stones."Every night to me is Halloween......"

Sorry to hear this I would LOVE to catch someone like that in the act. I think it's trespassing and a good beating might deter others, or even a gun shot in the air. After all they are theives and maybe in your sleep you mistook them for an attempted break-in?

A motion light might help.
At my old house there were good people, and some gang bangers around. They even shut down a meth lab across my street. What I used to do was sit in my garage cleaning my guns and wave at cars passing buy. They used to also speed on the street far too fast for it being a neighborhood children play in. One time someone speeding by I yelled "SLOW DOWN" and they stopped and started eyeballing me. So I said "oh yeah I got something for your arse" went inside came out and did one of those hollywood up and down single chamberings with the pump shot gun. They left in a hurry.
Those that knew me appreciated it. Those that didn't were afraid of me and I never had a problem... they thought I was crazy. LOL
I also used to do little assembly line repairs for the poorer childrens bikes in my driveway. I would have them lined up lightening bolts, greasing, and airing tires. I like to think that those short times with them maybe directed them away from that kind of life a little. What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

This is sad! I also would love to be able to put things out in the yard for a few weeks, but I just don't trust ANYONE! As has been said many times, I have way too much time, and money invested in my props to have them stolen, or destroyed. Sorry to hear about your loss!

Waaa? Not again! This is terrible! Sooo sorry this happened. Your stones must be waaay cool. Nobody even tries to take ours. Of course - they may stay away cause our house is right under a big street light. What are you going to do? Make more or what?
Still hope it doesn't spoil your fun and the fun of the 99% others who love your display. . ." TO SERVE MAN " ... IT'S A COOKBOOK!"

I'm sorry to hear about this =/. I am doing the same thing as many others - I put up a very small amount of decorations outside until the Day of, when I put out everything. I would love to have everything out for most of October, but you can't seem to trust people anymore. Someone always has to ruin the fun. Best of luck finding your stones, I hope you find those people and make an example out of them.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I won't put my stuff out until the 31st. What's weird is when we do Christmas decorations I have 0 fear that anything will be stolen and it never is. What's the attraction with stealing someone's Halloween decorations?

So sorry to hear about this. I know how frustrating it is. I had one of my best stones stolen two weeks ago. It really puts a damper on one's enjoyment of the season. I have a wrought iron fence that's lock every night....still couldn't stop a thief from coming into the yard. After that, I pulled everything of value inside until the big day...sad.
