OK so today I finished ahead of my intended schedule. I am lucky I started early, because things always take longer then expected. I basically got the last of the big "set" pieces up today. Now Phase 2 will take place on the 30th when the boxes for the mine shaft tunnel go up. Then Phase 3 will commence which is the finishing touches.

This is the abandoned shack that the flying crank ghost will be in.

This is the cemetery. Tombstones, crosses and statues go out nightly and then come in at night. I also laid some pipe for fog in the cemetery and hid the chiller in the shack.

This is the cemetery sign with the new Silva Cemetery sign and the new gargoyles my sister got me!!

Mine shaft entrance with the pillars on each side and rusty chains instead of fencing. Oh and the Monster in a box and the mine cart. These areas will hopefully get filled in with some more "mining" equipment. Like shovels, crates, wooden wheel barrow and stuff like that.

Completed mine shaft entrance. The "boxes" will go in between this and the house and form a tunnel that the TOT's will have to go through to get to the house to get their candy!! In the 2 boxes will be mining scenes with skeletal miners with their detonator box, dynamite, wooden barrels and stuff like that.

    Mine shaft entrance at night.

Oh and I built a doghouse for Wolf/Dog that I put next to the shack. He looked pretty happy in there, but I didn't get a pic.

Very clever theme and nice detail. Did you create all of these props this year? Or is this a reoccurring theme?

Having been crawling around ghost towns last spring for my son's school report, I must say, I love the theme, and you have captured it quite well.
