Thread: Do we have any HF members in Utah???

So I was watching Moden Marvels "Halloween" episode and they showed a map detailing all of Spirit's 600+ locations. I noticed there was a big blocked area in the western US that didn't have any locations, which I though was odd... until I realized that the "block" was the state of Utah!

It made me wonder if Halloween exists in the state. Is there any TOTing? It was something I'd never thought of before.

Anyone know the answer?

Yes, I know several of us hail from (northern) Utah, including myself. I know there are at least 2 Spirit locations here in Northern Utah, as well.

So, yes, Halloween is very much alive and well in Utah. Trick or Treat is plentiful, despite scattered attempts to replace it with trunk or treats.

If I had to guess, I'ld say that block was central and southern Utah. South of the Salt Lake Valley, there exists a whole lotta nuttin as far as towns go. National parks galore, but not a whole lot of population to support such a specialty business.

Yes, we do TOT here, and Lagoon Lagoon Is Fun - Frightmares
has one of the best Haunts around. People around here have always been into the Halloween thing and it seems to be becoming better and better yearly.

Well that's good to hear.

It did look like the blank area in the map was around the southern half of the state.

And it's not like Utah is the only place where people are trying to replace TOTing with a "safer" alternative.

Yep, Halloween does pretty well here....lotsa haunted houses and check the web for the Rocky Mountain Haunters group. And although, I agree with UnOrthodOx on the Trunk or Treats, they are Halloween themed.


A neighbor of mine called the local paper and told them to come check out my yard haunt....so they took pics last night....I wish they could wait until I'm finished

Crap, we only get the weekend editions.

A couple years ago someone sicked channel 2 on us, and I was rather pissed as they sat across the street and took video of all the kids going through without ever bothering to come say a damn thing to us, so I've asked all our neighbors not to turn us in to anyone anymore.
