Now that the WS schedule is set, I just realized game 3 is going to land on Halloween, right when my party starts. I have a full black light setup in my basement, my first fog chiller, and 2 games planned(murder mystery and toe tag). My friends and I are big baseball fans(plus we are in NYC) but i hate to see me and my gf's hard work go to waste. My gf, who is a huge yankees fan, even said she wants to watch the game no matter what lol
What do i do? Should I just give in to what will probably happen anyway and have the game on?

I'm afraid giving in is probably the answer.
Just like with planning games and music and such, your guests aren't going to enjoy themselves if you make them do things they'd rather not be doing.
Now if your damn Yankees would've just lost to my Twins, you wouldn't be having this problem. Let that be a lesson to them for next season!

hahahha I am a mets fan so i was naturally rooting for the yankees to lose! but now that they are playing the phillies, I have no other choice than to root for the yanks! gotta represent NY!
lol i dont quite think that would work lol but thanks for the suggestion
It is supposed to rain all day here tomorrow so if the game gets rained out, that will push back game 1 to thurs, game 2 to friday, and im assuming game 3 to sunday, so as bad as it sounds, i hope there is a rainout tmrw!

I know the feeling. Our party is this Sunday and I sent out the invites with a 4:00 start time because of the Packer/Vikings football game that we suppose to start at noon. The day after I sent out the invites, they moved the game to 3:15. Ahhh! So we called everyone and moved the party start time to 2:00. People will still probably watch some of it at the party, but I figured half time would fall about the time they all were going home. Luckily it's more of the kid party and not too many adults are super advid Packer fans. (I am but can live with missing the game if I must). Too many other things to work around or would have had it a different day. We have already decided to take the year off next Halloween. We are all going to Great America Fright Fest next year.
